This New England Style Clam Chowder Recipe caught my eye and I decided to give it a try. I have made the Manhattan style Clam Chowder before, but for some reason never attempted this one. I thought; out of the can was great, so I figured the homemade should be even better. I was right! This New England Style Clam Chowder Recipe was delicious; my family loved it. This recipe is simple with not a lot of cooking or prep time and could very easily be used on Friday for Lent by eliminating the pieces of bacon, and just using the bacon for flavor. This recipe is supposed to serve 4, but if you have some big eaters, I would double it. Enjoy

In an attempt to get away from the red meat a little bit I decided to try this Slow Cooker Chicken Chili Recipe. I was kind of pinched for time so I need a recipe I could set and forget; I decided on this slow cooker recipe. There is not a lot of ingredients, or a lot of prep time. For a chili recipe, this recipe is lightly seasoned, if you like it hot, you may want to increase the seasoning to taste. I followed the recipe as is, and it was good. Be sure to add the sour cream, it’s a nice touch. If you’re in a rush and want to cut back on the red meat, give this Slow Cooker Chicken Chili Recipe a try, and enjoy.

I don’t know why; but it never accrued to me to include bacon in a Chile recipe. When I saw this Chili with Bacon and Black Beans recipe, a light came on; I thought nice, give it a try. It is a simple recipe, but there is quite a bit of prep and cooking time. The recipe the way it is, is a little on the hot side, but I think it’s mostly me, because I don’t like a lot of heat. My wife said it was just right, so add the hot peppers to taste. I think you could very easily turn this into a slow cooker recipe, instead of using a Dutch oven, use the slow cooker. I am sure the longer it cooks the better. The Bacon and Black beans are a nice touch, so the next time you want some hot chili on a cold night, give this Chili with Bacon and Black Beans recipe a try. Enjoy

I was pinched for time again and needed something simple and good for a hungry family. This Skillet Nacho Chili Recipe seemed to fir for a cold night. Whenever I use store bought soup in a recipe I kind of feel like I’m cheating, but I went with it anyway. For chili this recipe was very quick; it was sitting on the kitchen table in little over a half an hour. The recipe calls for spicy kidney beans,( I used the mild) if you want to turn up the heat a little bit you could use hot or add some cayenne pepper. This is a great recipe to have in your recipe box if you want a nice hot bowl of chili on a cold night, and you’re in a hurry. So the next time you’re in a hurry and want a quick, simple recipe, give this Skillet Nacho Chili Recipe a try. Enjoy

Left over ham, and the ham bone? Actually my favorite is a boiled dinner, but unfortunately the rest of the family did not agree, so this Slow Cooker Ham Bone and Beans Recipe won. It is always a challenge what to do with the Holiday leftovers, so I decided on a recipe I thought would freeze well for later use. Knowing that beans always freeze very well this was a good choice. I have tried to freeze boiled dinner in the past, just to find out it does not freeze very well. Seeing as it is the Holidays, and thing are kind of hectic, the slow cooker was a perfect fit to save some time. Just get it ready, and set it and forget it and you are ready to go about your day and you will have a nice hot bowl of ham and beans waiting for you when you get home. Enjoy

It has been a long time since I cooked anything with barley in it. This Beef Barley Soup Recipe caught my eye, it sounded really good, and with the cold temperatures we’ve been having here in upper Michigan this week. I have had a very busy schedule and decided it was time to get the slow cooker out again. This recipe has very little prep time and takes care of itself once it’s in the slow cooker. If you are looking for a real good Beef Barley Soup Recipe this is it. Enjoy

This is a knock off of Wendy’s Chili Recipe. To be honest it has been a long time since I have had a bowl of Wendy’s Chili, but I do believe it comes pretty close. This is a delicious combination of flavors with not much prep time, but you do have to allow ample amount of time for simmering the chili. This recipe will serve about 12 people and would be a great dish for a cold Foot Ball Sunday afternoon-just add a few corn chips. Enjoy

Fall is in the air and chicken noodle soup is cooking in the slow cooker. I am one of those people that loves soup any time of the year. The temperature fell into the 50,s here; but has jumped back up to near 90. Highly unusual for us this time of year.
This Slow Cooker Chicken Noodle Soup Recipe is a very simple recipe with very little prep time. Just prepare it and forget till you get close to eating time, then add the noodles. There are many ways you can change this up with whatever you may have on hand. The only suggestion I would make is add the thyme to taste, because it can very easily, over power the recipe. Enjoy

I love one dish meals and this Chicken and Biscuit Casserole Recipe is going on top of my favorites list; the whole family loved it. It was seasoned perfectly for our taste and was very simple to prepare. I made a few minor changes to the recipe, which is already included into the recipe posted below. This recipe serves 6, but if you have to feed some big eaters you may want to step it up a bit. This is a simple recipe that just keeps them coming back for more. Enjoy!
