Creamy Potatoes with Ham Recipe

I was looking for a one dish meal I could put together quickly because I didn’t have a lot of time to do the prep work. This Creamy Potatoes with Ham Recipe is really good with almost no prep time, but you do have to allow a good hour for it to bake because the hash browns are cooked from frozen.  The original recipes calls for cubed ham, but the local store was running chopped ham on sale so I decided to give it a try-which I think worked out better because the ham blended throughout the hash browns.

If your busy and have something that has to be done while you cooking, give this Creamy Potatoes with Ham Recipe a try. You and family will love it. Enjoy

Ingredients

1 package frozen hash browns (16 ounces)

1 medium onion (finely chopped)

8 ounces cooked ham (cubed or chopped)

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10 1/2 ounces)

1 package sour cream (8 ounces)

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

2 Tablespoons margarine (melted)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350F.

2. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl-place mixture into a 9 x 13 casserole dish sprayed with cooking spray.

what do i use if i don’t have frozen hash browns? could i just grate some potatoes or would i need to cook them beforehand? this might work if you use shredded raw potatoes be sure and press the water out of them.
