The weather here in Upper Michigan has been great with highs running up into the fifties, but a cool down started last night, putting everyone in the mood to have soup on the menu. I have wanted to make hamburger soup for some time know and took this as a good opportunity to give it a try. Unlike conventional soup that usually takes a lot of cooking time, this soup can be on the table in about an hour. The only thing I noticed is that there is no added salt to the recipe, which is a good thing so I prepared the recipe as written without adding any extra spices or in ingredients. This recipe is simple enough that it would be a great recipe to put together after work, or if you’re pinched for time, a quick recipe for when the kids get out of school.
