Simple Nachos Supreme Recipe

Simple Nachos Supreme Recipe

Here’s another game day recipe that’s simple and good. This is a basic recipe and is really good, just the way it is pictured and written.

However, you could easily take this recipe to the next level by adding a teaspoon of sour cream, some chopped tomatoes, and maybe even some chopped green onions on top.

Just supply the condiments on the side, and let your guests top it with their favorite topping. Be sure to make plenty because they won’t last long. Enjoy

Simple Nachos Supreme Recipe

  • Author: Cullys Kitchen

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 large green pepper chopped
  • 1 package Fajitas Seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 1 package restaurant style tortilla chips (you’ll probably use about 1/ 2 of a large bag)
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Preheat oven to 375F.

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. In a large skillet using the oil, cook the onion, green pepper, and burger until the burger is no longer pink inside; drain if needed.
  3. Mix in the water and seasoning mix and simmer for about 5 minutes stirring occasionally to keep the mixture from sticking.
  4. Cover a large baking sheet with aluminum foil (I used a 16 x 12 jelly roll pan if you don’t have a pan this large you can use 2 smaller baking sheets), lightly spray with cooking spray, and arrange the tortilla chips tightly together over the bottom.
  5. Place about 1 teaspoon of the meat mixture onto each chip and then sprinkle on some cheddar cheese.
  6. Bake for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted – serve with your choice condiments.
