When I first looked at this recipe it was so simple I wasn’t sure how good it would be; but sometimes simple is good. For the ease, and time involved, this simple chicken cutlet recipe is delicious.

Ingredients
  • 4 boneless chicken breast half’s
  • 1 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
Instructions
  1. Pound and flatten chicken.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Dip chicken breast in the egg then coat with bread crumbs.
  4. In a large skillet sauté garlic until golden brown then discard.
  5. Brow the chicken on both sides until brown.
  6. Bake in a 9 x 13 baking dish or pan at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until done.

I had to dig into the spice rack kind of deep to come up with the seasoning for this one. But it was great. We had it all on hand. This simple southern fried chicken recipe is sure to please everyone in your family. It’s not KFC, but it is very good . I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as we did.

Ingredients
  • 6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons pepper
  • 4 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground mustard
  • 1 tablespoon ground thyme
  • 1 tablespoon sweet basil
  • 1 teaspoon ground oregano
  • 1 tablespoon ground ginger
  • 2 large eggs
Instructions
  1. Blend the flour and all the spices together.

  3. Slightly beat the eggs in a separate bowl for dipping the chicken.
  4. Dip the chicken in the egg mixture-then roll it in the spice flour mixture.

  6. In a hot fry pan brown the chicken in oil.
  7. Place the chicken in a metal or glass baking pan and bake for 45 minutes at 350F.
  8. Note: I used 6 boneless chicken breasts for this recipe. I had plenty of spices left over. Unless you are cooking a large amount of chicken- this recipe could easily be cut in half. Enjoy!
