Pomelos

Pomelos are commercially produced in Thailand (where they are known as “sum-oh”), Southeast Asia, China, Mexico, and southern California and Florida. It’s a non-hybrid citrus fruit native to Asia that’s utilized to develop the most commercially available cultivars. For example, grapefruit is a mix between a pomelo and a sweet orange. The pomelo received the title “King of Citrus Fruits” due to its size, which may grow as large as a basketball and weigh up to two pounds.
