Creamy Baked Pork Chops Recipe

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil
  • 6 boneless pork chops (bone in would also work fine)
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Rosemary
  • 1 can French fried onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. in a shallow pie dish whisk together the flour, pepper, and salt. Pat pork chops dry using paper towels and then coat them in the flour mixture.
  3. Using the cooking oil brown the pork chops in a large skillet over medium-high heat on both sides and transfer them to 2-quart casserole dish.
  4. In a large bowl mix together the soup, water, sour cream, and Rosemary, and pour the mixture over the chops. Sprinkle 1/2 the can of French fried onions over the top.
  5. Cover and bake for 45 minutes or until chops are done. Sprinkle the rest of the French onions over the top and bake for another 5 minutes.
  6. Serve hot – topping the chops with the gravy
