Preheat oven to 325F and lightly spray a donut pan with cooking spray.
In a large bowl mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Add the eggs, butter, vanilla, and milk; by hand or using an electric mixer beat until well combined.
Fill each donut cup about ¾’s full. Bake for 8-10 minutes until donuts spring back when touched. Allow cooling for a few minutes before removing from pan.
Simple glaze recipe
Place confectioners’ sugar in a bowl. Mix in the hot water and almond extract until well combined. To make chocolate glaze melt ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and add it to the glaze mixture – dip donuts in glaze.
