Slow Cooker Turkey Thighs Pot Roast Recipe

Wow; talk about sticker shock. It’s been a long time since I purchased turkey parts, and if my memory serves me right, they were pretty cheap in the past. Not so this time, it looks like the price really took a jump.

Anyway; enough of the crying.

This Slow Cooker Turkey Thighs Pot Roast Recipe caught my eye because of another busy afternoon coming up I needed a good, set and forget it type of recipe. I don’t do turkey in the slow cooker very often and thought I would give this a try. There is very little prep time with this recipe, which makes it even better. The seasoning blends well with the turkey and vegetables, and when the turkey is finished cooking all the vegetables are done at about the same time. For a one dish meal I thought this recipe was pretty good so the next time you want to use your slow cooker give this Slow Cooker Turkey Thighs Pot Roast Recipe a try. Enjoy

Any chance this could be done w/ turkey legs instead? How would cooking time need to adjusted, if so?

  2. admin says:

Sure you could-just keep the cooking time the same.

Great recipe. Actually, about the price? Loblaws at Maple Leaf Gardens has them all the time. 2 large for $5-6. Not a bad price. Don’t know about other Loblaws.

I’m going to try this recipe with apple, sweet onion, Bell pepper, garlic, poultry seasoning and small amount of cayenne pepper just to spice it up some, I live alone and don’t want to cook a whole turkey just for me.
