I really like grilled burgers with the fresh garden tomatoes; they just can’t match what you get from the store. In an attempt to get away from red meat a little bit I decided on this Grilled Turkey Burgers Recipe. I followed the recipe as written. It was a nice blend of flavors producing a very moist grilled turkey burger. Top with your choice of condiments, and it is a perfect end of summer meal. This is a very simple recipe and can be put together in minutes. I divided the recipe into 4 burgers; but you could make them any size you want. Give this Grilled Turkey Burgers Recipe a try; you and your family will really enjoy them.
I didn’t add prep pictures to this post, because I didn’t feel it was necessary.
Ingredients
1 lb ground turkey
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs
1 medium onion (chopped)
2 tablespoons ketchup
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon soy sauce
1/4 teaspoon paprika
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1/4 teaspoon liquid red pepper seasoning (optional)
Black pepper to taste
4 hamburger buns
1 large tomato (sliced)
Lettuce leaves (optional)
4 slices mozzarella cheese
Directions
1. Combine all ingredients in large bowl, except for the lettuce, tomato and cheese slices. (I use my hand for this; it seems to work the best.)
2. Shape into 4 patties.
3. Grill until browned and cooked through. (Internal temperature should be 165F.)
4. Just before you are ready to take the burgers of the grill, top them with the cheese slices; close the grill until the cheese is melted.
Serve in hamburger buns with lettuce and tomato
