Before cooking chicken drumsticks on the stove, they should be thawed. If you are using frozen drumsticks, place them in a bowl of hot water for 30 minutes. Pat them dry with paper towels. When thawed, season them with a mixture of spices or herbs of your choice. Poultry seasoning is a convenient, quick seasoning solution. Paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, and thyme are all excellent choices as well.
If you are cooking drumsticks on the stove, be sure to rinse and season them well. You can do this up to 3 days in advance, too.
