Simple Brownie Recipe

These Brownies are nice and moist. I think one of the things I liked most about this Brownie recipe is - most of the ingredients, if you do any amount of baking at all, you will probably have on hand. This is a quick and simple recipe the Family will love.

Ingredients
1. 1 cup vegetable oil
2. 2 cups sugar
3. 2 Teaspoons Vanilla
4. 4 Large eggs
5. ½ teaspoon Baking Powder

6. 2/3 cup Coco Powder

7. ½ Teaspoon Salt

8. 1 Cup flour

9. 1 cup Walnuts (optional)

Preheat your oven to 350 while you are preparing the Brownie Mix.

I needed a recipe that had simple “in house” ingredients for a potluck that night. Since I did not have veggie oil, I microwaved 2 sticks of “Imperial” and that worked!! I was impressed with the taste and it had the perfect brownie consistency - held together and chewy. LOVED THEM - THANK YOU! Sadly I had none to bring back home so have to make another batch soon!

I just made these brownies. They turned about good. Nothing spectacular but still good from scratch. Thumbs up!

if I wanted to use butter, how much would I substitute for oil (I read KAren’s post, but I am here in Australia and quantities that butter comes in are different)? They look soooo delicious. Hoping I will have time tonight to make em! Yummmmmm!!

Lianne, 1 cup of oil is 1 bar of butter.

Looking through my panrty I found a box of unsweetwened coco powder that I bought a while back. I was thinking what could I bake with this ingredient, then brownies came to mind. I wanted a recipe that was simple. One that I didn’t have to buy a particular item for.
So this morning I googled simple brownie recipes and found two. This one and another which required more ingredients than I wanted to use. It all came down to the ratings. After looking at the comments for the other recipe, I found this recipe and read all the comments left. I was amazed by what other people had to say, and after taking a look at the picture and scanning the recipe I knew which one I would bake.
In the late afternoon I decided to make them for myself and my family. Of course as I was pouring the batter into the pan I licked my fingers every chance I got. And it was delicious!
After a little over thirty minutes I took it out and let it cool, then I put it in a display dish for my family to have. Of course I tried a couple, and let me tell you I will be holding on to this recipe for another time. -It is hard to find simple, yet delicious recipes.-
