Can Chicken Be Cooked But Still Pink?
According to the USDA, chicken is safe to eat as long as it has reached a minimum internal temperature of 165°F in all of its parts before serving. The color of anything does not indicate whether it is done or not. According to the USDA, even properly cooked poultry may have a reddish tint to the meat and juices on rare occasions. This means that a properly cooked chicken may still be pink on the inside in some situations. The pink color shouldn’t be a health problem as long as you take the bird’s temperature with a cooking thermometer in numerous locations – not just the thigh – and achieve a reading of 165 degrees or higher.
How To Store Cooked Chicken?
