Simple Brownie Recipe

These Brownies are nice and moist. I think one of the things I liked most about this Brownie recipe is that, if you do any amount of baking at all, you will probably have all the ingredients on hand.
This is a quick and simple recipe the Family will love.

I needed a recipe that had simple “in house” ingredients for a potluck that night. Since I did not have veggie oil, I microwaved 2 sticks of “Imperial” and that worked!! I was impressed with the taste and it had the perfect brownie consistency – held together and chewy. LOVED THEM – THANK YOU! Sadly I had none to bring back home so have to make another batch soon!

if I wanted to use butter, how much would I substitute for oil (I read KAren’s post, but I am here in Australia and quantities that butter comes in are different)? They look soooo delicious. Hoping I will have time tonight to make em! Yummmmmm!!

Looking through my panrty I found a box of unsweetwened coco powder that I bought a while back. I was thinking what could I bake with this ingredient, then brownies came to mind. I wanted a recipe that was simple. One that I didn’t have to buy a particular item for.
So this morning I googled simple brownie recipes and found two. This one and another which required more ingredients than I wanted to use. It all came down to the ratings. After looking at the comments for the other recipe, I found this recipe and read all the comments left. I was amazed by what other people had to say, and after taking a look at the picture and scanning the recipe I knew which one I would bake.
In the late afternoon I decided to make them for myself and my family. Of course as I was pouring the batter into the pan I licked my fingers every chance I got. And it was delicious!
After a little over thirty minutes I took it out and let it cool, then I put it in a display dish for my family to have. Of course I tried a couple, and let me tell you I will be holding on to this recipe for another time. -It is hard to find simple, yet delicious recipes.-

Used quinoa flour in order to make them gluten, free, suitable for people on a celiac (coeliac) diet.

This recipe worked quite well, thanks!

This recipe is calling for vanilla extract.

I went to make these brownies and discovered that I didn’t have enough regular sugar and didn’t feel like going to the store, so I used confectioners sugar, I had plenty of that, and . . . BEST SUBSTITUTION EVER!!!! :DDD thought not for those who don’t like things extra sweet, made the texture smoother though 🙂

THANK YOU SO MUCH Cully for this fabulous brownie recipe. I’ve tried others and they’ve never turned out quite right. This recipe has ended my search. I don’t change a thing- I do add the walnuts. It has since made many people happy and they also comment how delicious it is.

I am definitely going to try some other recipes from this site.

    All the best,
    David
