  1. Omg thanks lol

  2. Can white vinager be used instead?

  3. Think that would work out.

  4. I think that would work out.

  5. Kim Haithcock says:

I would like to try this recipe. Do you toast the bread and then chop it up?

  6. No; the bread is not toasted.

  7. Becky Timbs-Eastridge says:

Just fixed this meatloaf and it is AMAZING !!!

  8. Ki'erra says:

Can you cook this in a crockpot?

  9. I have never tried it. If you try it let me know how it works out. I would coat the crock pot with aluminum foil for easy removal of the meatloaf.

  10. Victoria Julien says:

What sauce do you use? Is there a recipe for the sauce?

  11. The sauce ingredients are listed below the word sauce. I hope that helps.

  12. CGreenwell says:

I made this meatloaf tonight and it was so wonderful. One thing I added was a little bit of green bellpeppers chopped up. The flavor was dead on. It was moist, and tender. This will be my go to recipe for now on. Thank you for sharing.

  13. I am not a meatloaf eater, but my partner is. He was gone for a week on a work trip and I decided to prepare meatloaf for his return. Easy to prepare and I followed it exactly except for a longer cooking time needed to reach desired temperature. Very good favor and moist. He loved it! Served with mashed potatoes, turnip greens, deviled eggs, and cornbread. I will return to this recipe again and again. Thank you!

  14. Made this tonight, as my husband has been asking for a me to find a recipe for sweet and sour meatloaf. I myself am not a fan of meatloaf at all, however, this was very good. I served it with homemade mac and cheese and green beans…..very yummy!! Will definitely be making it again. 🙂

  15. this sounds great. I also do a sauce made of yellow mustard(2tbls)ketchup(about 3 to 4 tbls)and brown sugar. I add as much as I think is good so no measurement on the sugar. put it on about 20 minutes before meatloaf is done. hope you like it.

  16. Thanks Pam!

  17. In regard to lining the crockpot with foil…Reynolds now make a “Slow Cooker” liner. It really saves on the cleanup!!!

  18. Have you tried this recipe with lean ground beef?

  19. I usually use ground chuck.

  20. I have a family of picky eaters so was not sure if they would like it. But, they loved it. I asked should I make this again, “Yes”, was their answer. Thanks for an easy and tasty meatloaf.

  21. can you substitute almond milk for whole milk for people with dairy allergies

  22. I don’t really know; I haven’t tried it. I think flavor would be the only question as to whether it would work or not.

  23. Lilian D'Auria says:

Love this recipe. I made it with a lb of ground beef and a lb of Italian sausage. Added one more egg and two slices of bread. My partner loves when I made this meatloaf. It’s his favorite meat dish.

  24. I don’t eat beef so I tried this with Turkey – MY GOODNESS it turned out good.
My partner said they couldn’t tell the difference.

  25. Kim Honeycutt says:

Very similar to my mom’s. Pinned it!

  26. Betty Rae Knowles says:

I line the pan with foil and spray some Pam on it. Throw the foil away and no dirty pan.

  27. How would this be with Bar-B-Q sauce, I don’t like vinegar, does it make it taste sour ?

  28. No the vinegar doesn’t make it sour – actually the sauce is quite sweet.
I do think a BBQ sauce would work. It will probably change the flavor a lot depending on the brand sauce you use.

  29. My bf and I made this last night for supper, and I have to say it is the BEST meatloaf either of us have EVER had !!! I’d recommend the apple cider vinegar as it adds such a wonderful flavor !!! AMAZING … I’ll be making this for my bf’s mom when I finally meet her.. She’s my meatloaf competition I hear lol ..> Thank you for giving me the edge 🙂

  30. Can i put some feta in he meat also what about tomato soup for the top or sauce?

  31. I think the cheese would be a good idea – I thing I would use the sauce instead of the soup.

  32. We use egg not bread , and stove top stuffing instead, with bbq as the sauce and ketchup! Bbq sauce is baked into and I top of the loafs

  33. Frankie Sutton says:

I made minor substitutions on this. I added chopped bell pepper and used Pepperidge Farm dressing mix instead of bread. This is the most amazing meatloaf I have ever found. Even people who don’t like meatloaf will find it hard to not like this. I served with mashed potatoes and garden peas. Yummy !!!!!

  34. My gosh I sat here and read ALL of the reviews and everyone was so positive — now I’m going to HAVE to make this !!

  35. How many servings does this make?

  36. I would say 3-4 depending how big of eaters you are serving to.

  37. Sooooo good!!!! Making it for dinner tonight. Thank you!

  38. Mary Simo says:

I’m making this right now I’ll let you know later what we think?

  39. Mary Simo says:

    We love it!

  40. I was wondering if it could be frozen? Will definitely make it as soon as weather cools a little…

  41. I would use apple cider vinegar instead of white vinegar. White is quite harsh.Aapple cider vinegar flavor blends marvelously with sweet things such as brown or white sugar or honey. I’m ansious to make this recipe.

  42. I haven’t tried freezing it but it should work.

  43. Made this meatloaf three times now in the past two months. The only thing I changed was the Apple Cider Vinegar (didn’t have any). Used white Vinegar instead.
    Absolutely Delicious…YUM!

  44. Made this tonight and it was sooooooo yummy!! And easy to do. Thanks for the recipe

I NEVER leave comments or reviews (mostly because I’m lazy haha), but this recipe deserves a review. This is my GO-TO recipe for meatloaf! My family, including one major meatloaf hater, absolutely loves this. I pinned this ages ago and have made it at least once every month at home, and I even triple the recipe to make every time I visit my sister in Michigan. It comes out so moist and flavorful. Preparation is simple, quick, and easy. I make this true to the recipe. During the preparation, I put the torn up bread in the bowl first and then the milk so that the bread soaks it up and really keeps the moisture in the meat. Then I add the remaining ingredients, and lastly the meat. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe! It’s in the oven right now – smells great and we can’t wait!

  46. Just made this for dinner. It was great and the sauce on top was incredible. Will definitely be making again.

  47. I’m make it as we speak. But I used bread crumbs. So I’ll let you know how it turn out. One question do we put the sauce on while we are baking it?

  48. I hope this turned out well for you – Sauce goes on just before it goes in the oven.

  49. Somebody said they would replace the vinegar with bbq sauce… would that work? Has anybody tried it? Does it taste alright?

  50. Do you cover the meat loaf with foil before it goes in the oven?
