This is a simple Swedish Meatball Recipe that is great with mashed potatoes and gravy. The onion soup mix and nutmeg give these meatballs a unique flavor and the gravy is delicious.

Swedish Meatball Recipe
Ingredients

For Meatballs
- 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef or ( mixed 50/50 ground pork )
- ¾ cups bread crumbs.
- 1 egg beaten.,
- ½ cup water
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ½ teaspoon pepper
Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons drippings from browning meatballs
- 3 Tablespoons of flour
- 2 ½ cups water
- 1 package dry onion soup mix
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup light cream
Instructions
- Mix and form meatballs- brown lightly in a skillet.
- Place meatballs in a casserole dish.
- For the sauce-bring the water to a boil and slowly add the rest of the ingredients.
- Pour over the meatballs and bake covered for 45 minutes at 350F degrees.
